The double hemisphere map itself details the routes of many navigators including Magellan in 1520, Mendana in 1568, Tasman's 1642 - 43 route and Schouten and Le Maire in 1616, amongst others.

Australia and New Zealand are charted to include the discoveries made by Tasman during his first and second voyages. Australia is labelled 'Nova Ollanda' while some of the early Dutch discoveries are accounted for including Carstensz in 1623, the discoveries made by the Leeuwin in 1622, Nuyts in 1627 and de Witt's in 1628.

California is charted correctly while the coastline further north is left vacant except for an interesting piece of coast near China , which Don Giovanni di Gamma is claimed to have discovered. A section of Terra Australis ('C.delle Terre Australi') still persists and is charted to the southwest of Africa .

Albrizzi's map features an armillary sphere and decorative cartouche.

This information is adopted from the Printed World catalogue series, one of the most enjoyable and informative Australian Antique map catalogues available, created and compiled by Simon Dewez.
