The famous map by Rapkin had been issued by Tallis since 1851. It had also included a number of vignettes surrounding the map including local animals, aboriginals and pictures of scenary. This edition of Tallis's map is decernable by the number of counties (74) shown to be in NSW. In 1851 only 19 counties were shown to be in NSW.
