Two maps by Lizars on the one sheet. One focuses on Van Diemens Land (Tasmania) and the limit of interior exploratioin, most notably connecting the northern and southern coastlines. There is also an inset view of Hobart Town below the maps title.
The other map focuses on the region around Sydney and its exploration. The Sydney region is divided into 38 districts. In the bottom left corner is an inset engraving of Sydney showing the colony as being fairly built up. A number of tall ships can be seen in the harbour and windmills can be seen on the hills.
